Could not use fridge in room extra charge if you wanted to use it. This should not be at a 4 star hotel
We had spent three nights here and were ready at the airport for departure when the volcano errupted in Iceland. The staff were superb.A frantic phonecall from us to the hotel ensured we had a room for as long as necessary. They price-matched booking. com and helped us in every possible way.We were given a superior room, free internet access and a same day laundry service because our supply of clean clothes was diminishing.Everyone was so caring and sympathetic. The hotel is set in lovely gardens with a beautiful pool area which is kept spotless.A five minute walk takes you to a selection of restaurants.Hugo's bar is a friendly place for either lunch or an after dinner drink and we can highly reccommend Tanias for lunch or dinner.
Not a lot! It was a nosiy hotel with less than friendly staff. Overall very disappointed
I asked for a quiet room + was put in one above the bar with loud karoeke and bad entertainment til midnight. When I asked to move I was told I couldn't then that I would have to pay. When I asked to speak to the manager and told them that I would write a terrible report on all booking sites I was finally moved to a quieter room. However then the key didn't work and I was locked out and had to ask staff to let me in each time!
I was impressed by the excellent service from the staff. The food was excellent and very good value.Dinner costing only 12 euro.I Had dinner at the nearby Shereton hotel at Pine Trees which although very nice(not any better than the Falesia food) was considerably more expensive.
The only thing I did not like was the fact that I did not have a facility in my room to make tea/coffee and when I asked if I could hire a kettle for my weeks stay, I was told I was unable to do so.
It is a lovely hotel we were very happy with the hotel nice room staff were always very nice and we would go back
Friendly staff. Good room. Our room was upgraded at no cost for some reason. Clean. Good gardens and shaded areas if you don't want to sit by the pool. Always got a sunbed no matter what time we got up. Food eating in various local restuarants was good.
Most nearby bars were next to quite a busy road. Not much to see in immediate vicinity. A better map showing locality would have helped for walking to nearby beaches and village. Not
The gardens for relaxing and quiet atmosphere having large trees giving welcome shade in hot sunny weather. The large Superior rooms with good view.
The lack of staff in the Restarant in the evenings resulting in uncleared tables ,slow wine service , slow plate removal after each course. This spoilt the relaxing atmosphere that is usual and found in all other Gold hotels we have stayed in.
nice pool and facilities
breakfast with terrible coffee and orange juice, having to pay €2.5 to use the fridge
Relaxing. Staff always on hand to help. Lovely grounds. Plenty of shops and bars 500m away.
Very peaceful - no children. Staff very helpful. Indoor and Outdoor pools were lovely.
Drinks and ice creams a little on the expensive side. Food not as hot as could have been.
Beautiful area, lots of lovely restaurants that are typically Portugese within walking distance. Also more international cuisine available. Gorgeous beaches again within walking distance, close to busier places such as Vilamoura and Albufeira for those that prefer more activity.Good choice at breakfast.
orange squash not fresh juice in the morning.Hairdryer in bathroom means that by the time you have dried your hair you need another shower, better if there was one in the main room.
It was a adult only hotel which made it a very peaceful holiday with excellent surroundings.
The bed was a bit soft so left us both with mild backache.
The Falesia Hotel like to classify themselves as 4 star, but I would definitely put that down to 3 star. There was a rental fee for the fridge of €2.50 a day. The same applied for Bathrobes which you could rent at €2.50 a day, but also pay a €30.00 deposit. Throwaway slippers cost €2.50. The breakfasts were good, but any other food during the day was very poor. They said that bed linen change would be twice a week and towels would be changed three times a week. The rooms were big and spacious.
We have stayed here at the Falesia a few times and can coment that we cannot fault it very good value for money.
It is not near the beach, but we hire a car so no problem for us, but the hotel do provide a suttle service to and from the beach
comfortable spacious room, good facilities in the room
challenging to find, no signal on the main road- spa without sauna
